Float the container
Our recommendation:
-Float the container in the tank for a minimum of 15 minutes. Remove 25% of the water and add tank water into shipping water. After 15 minutes remove another 25% and replace with tank water. Continue to dipping process.
dipping
Our recommendation:
Use a mild solution mix
-In a separate container, using tank water, mix your dipping solution of choice. (we recommend using BAYER see our dipping recipe). MIX THROUGHLY BEFORE PUTTING CORALS IN! Fully submerge coral(s) into the solution for 5 minutes while using a turkey baster to gently blow off any possible pests. After 5 minutes, remove the coral(s) from the dipping solution and rinse in tank water. Place coral in the tank.
water flow
Start low
Our recommendation:
–Start corals with half of the ideal flow of the corals. (See our coral care guide for our recommendation regarding this subject). Move corals to ideal flow locations slowly in a 1 month period.
Lighting
Start in low lighting
Our recommendation:
–SOFT CORALS: We recommend starting at 75 PAR.
–LARGE POLYP STONY: We recommend starting at 75 PAR. For our torches, we recommend a starting point of 150 PAR.
–SMALL POLYP STONY: We recommend starting at 200 PAR ACROPORA SPECIFIC. Other species of SPS corals, we recommend a starting point of 100 PAR.

In our grow out operation we use a blend of powdered coral foods and a mixture of amino acids and vitamins.
The goal is to provide proper nutrition for corals without negatively impacting the stability and balance in your aquarium.
Note that these are a method we use, observe your tank and adjust accordingly to your tank’s needs.
An example schedule would be:
- Day 1 amino and vitamin (according to your tank size)
- Day 2 OFF
- Day 3 powdered food soaked in amino acids (spot feed)
- Day 4 OFF
- Day 5 amino and vitamins
- Day 6 OFF
- Day 7 OFF
