We didn’t want to be another coral vendor in an already saturated industry. At our core, we’re hobbyists ourselves and wanted to deliver a new experience for buying corals while also offering industry leading customer service. We examine every process we have and challenge ourselves to find how we can make the experience for our customers better and different.
How can we improve upon what our hobby accepts as standard and basic? How can be give our customers more transparency? How can we build a different kind of community centered around our shared love of saltwater aquariums? We started answering these questions and Altitude Corals was born.
A saltwater enthusiast for most my life, I dove into the reef keeping hobby in college. The vibrant and unique colorations of corals is ultimately what captured me. Fast forward 7 years and I am fully hooked with 3 reef tanks and plans for more! Reef keeping continues to give me immense joy and the opportunity to meet some amazing people. I am ecstatic to share my love of corals with you here at Altitude Corals!
I love this hobby. I‘ve been obsessed with water and fish tanks since I was a child. I’ve been into saltwater for almost 10 years and will likely have some type of tank from now on. I appreciate nearly all coral from GSP to high end nems and sticks, whatever catches my eye. My new challenge is a true mixed reef with a variety of corals and fish from all over the world and getting them all to thrive in one environment. So far so good. I wouldn’t have gotten this far without the help and advice of many others. Bug away with any types of questions you have and I’m happy to share what I know.
Growing up, an aquarium was always a fixture in my parents home. The fascination was immediate and I always wanted to learn more. While In my teens an uncle of mine started a reef tank. I was absolutely amazed after seeing it for the first time. It opened up a whole new world of discovery to me.After years of doing research the time finally came to buy my first reef tank. Coincidentally, it was right before my oldest son was born. The curiosity of my kids brought all the same feelings and nostalgia back that I shared with my Dad. They were great times and hope to bring those same experiences I had to other families and individuals who share that same wonder.
